An existing 40,000 square foot warehouse was converted to a full-scale ice skating and training facility. This involved the demolition of 3,000 square feet of first and second-floor office spaces & stairs. New HVAC systems, rubber floors, shower & locker rooms, party rooms, and skating gym & practice area were installed.
The roof was temporarily shored for the removal of existing columns to accommodate the NHL-sized ice rink. Four new 22,000 pound beams to span the ice rink and eliminate the need for columns were installed.
The entrance of the building was extended by 10 feet to expand the lobby and ticketing areas. New ADA ramps, ADA parking, retaining walls, storefront, and automatic doors were installed at the exterior of the facility.
